A Taylors woman is accused of having sexual relations with a juvenile inmate at the group home where she worked, authorities said.

Cornecia Laquita McDaniel, 24, of 1900 Boiling Road Ext., Apt 1H, was charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor — 2nd degree, criminal sexual conduct with a minor — 3rd degree and sexual misconduct with an inmate — 2nd degree, according to warrants.

Warrants allege McDaniel engaged in intercourse and oral sex with the 15-year-old victim, who was a juvenile inmate committed to Avalonia Group Home in Greenville.

McDaniel was an employee at the home, warrants allege.

Greenville County investigators were first notified of the incidents by the state Department of Social Services, according to Sheriff’s Office spokesman Jonathan Smith.

Smith said the incidents occurred between Jan. 1, 2014 and Sept. 30, 2014.

Two of the incidents happened at the group home, and two occurred at the suspect’s home, Smith said.

McDaniel was arrested Friday and has since been released from the Greenville County Detention center on a $50,000 bond, jail records show.
