Deputies: Greenville man fatally stabbed his brother

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office on Monday charged a man with murder in connection with the stabbing of his brother, Deputy Drew Pinciaro said.

Authorities say Ryan Cameron McBride, of Greenville, stabbed his brother, Sean Patrick McBride, on Jan. 4 at Sean McBride's residence on Long Forest Drive in Greenville. At the time, the Sheriff's Office charged Ryan McBride with attempted murder.

Sean McBride, 33, died Feb. 5 at the hospital after suffering a brain injury due to loss of blood, Coroner Parks Evans said. The cause of death was stab wound to the leg, the Coroner's Office said. The manner of death was ruled homicide.

McBride's funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Travelers Rest United Methodist Church, 19 S. Main St., Travelers Rest. Visitation is from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the same location.
