Coroner identifies man struck by car on Wade Hampton

The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a car on Wade Hampton Boulevard has been identified as a Moore man.

Jeffrey Daniel Wilson, 46, of 288 Bethany Church Road was struck near Batesview Drive at 9:51 p.m. Monday, said Greenville County Coroner Parks Evans.

Wilson was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he died early Tuesday morning, Evans said.
The cause of death was still pending. The Coroner's Office and Greenville police is investigating the accident.
