Liberty Bridge re-opens, will close later

The Liberty Bridge over Falls Park has reopened after inclement weather this week delayed cosmetic repairs.

The bridge will close at a later date to complete the work, said Leslie Fletcher, a city spokeswoman.

Earlier this week, the iconic suspension bridge was closed for re-coating and work had been expected to stretch into Thursday and possibly Friday.

The bridge now will be open in time for the Euphoria event this weekend.
