New Greenville police chief schedules community forums

Staff report

The Greenville Police Department will host a series of community forums in locations throughout the city to provide citizens with an opportunity to meet Chief Ken Miller and to share their perspectives and ideas regarding public safety and police services.

Miller took over the department last week, succeeding interim Chief Mike Gambrell, who retired on Sept. 12.

The 50-year-old chief spent more than two decades with Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, eventually rising to second in command. He also worked as a deputy and served in the U.S. Air Force.

Each forum will begin at 6:30 p.m. Anyone unable to attend can email their feedback to jbragg@greenvillesc.gov.
