More charges have been filed in connection with the shootings at Townville Elementary School, the Solicitor's Office said Monday evening.

Jesse Osborne, the 14-year-old suspect in the case, was originally charged with murder and three counts of attempted murder after authorities said he shot his father at their home, then drove to Townville Elementary and opened fire with a handgun. Authorities initially said two children and a teacher were injured in the shooting.

One of the attempted murder charges was upgraded to murder following the death of 6-year-old Jacob Hall, Solicitor Chrissy Adams said. Authorities also filed a new attempted murder charge after another child victim was identified, Adams said.

The solicitor did not immediately return a phone message Monday evening seeking comment. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office on Monday evening also declined to discuss details involving the third child victim.

Adams also announced on Monday that Jesse Osborne has been charged with five counts of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

According to authorities, the 14-year-old fatally shot his 47-year-old father, Jeffrey Dewitt Osborne, multiple times as he sat on a couch in their home last week on Osborne Road. The gunman then drove a pickup truck to Townville Elementary where he crashed into a chain-link fence and opened fire on a teacher and students heading out for recess. A teacher then called 911 to report the shooting.
