New event space, Avenue, lands on downtown rooftop

Greenville real estate developer Hughes Commercial Properties on Tuesday unveiled Avenue, a state-of-the-art full-service event space located on the sixth floor of 110 E. Court St.

Rick Erwin Events, a newly formed division of Rick Erwin Dining Group, will provide exclusive in-house catering for the site.

The venue is a 7,000 square-foot, indoor-outdoor rooftop space that will house a wide range of events, from weddings to corporate events. The space will seat 200 and have space for 400 guests during receptions. Avenue will also feature an audio visual system, a full-service kitchen and a rooftop garden.

The space designed by architect Keith Summerour has commanding views of downtown's skyline and will be outfitted with paintings and textiles.

Avenue has already been booked for a number of events and is scheduled to open in April of this year, according to organizers.
